Sunrise Conch Salad a la McIntosh

McIntosh has been making conch salad for the past 40 years and each time he makes it, it is better that the time before. It is a Bahamian recipe that is made different from person which tastes different from person to person. Sometimes he gets the conch out of the marina here at Sunrise Resort and other times he goes to the fish market in town. We like to say, “it tastes like love,” meaning that he put his all into it!

Sunrise Conch Salad a la McIntosh


6 Conchs
1 onion
1 Green Bell Pepper
2 stalks of celery
1/2 ripened tomato
2 sweet oranges
3 limes
1 goat pepper
Salt to taste


Combine all ingredients and serve with the coldest bottle or can of Kalik! Enjoy!
