Question, please, re: ferry between Mia/Ft.Lauderdale to/from Freeport, Grand Bahama

Any ferry restriction or charges for bringing along a docile Shih-Tzu doggy in an airline-approved carry-on bag?
    Thanks!

    Hello Shirlianne,

The price is the starting roundtrip fare originally provided by the ferry service. You are able to take a day trip or select different arrival/departure dates to stay a week as you mentioned. Rates vary depending upon day and trip, but there are offers listed on their website. Here is the direct link to the ferry service website for you check out fares and dates: https://www.ferryexpress.com.

We also hope that you’ll consider staying with us at Sunrise during your stay on Grand Bahama island!

    Hello all,

I was recently looking into tickets for late January 2013… I was just wondering if anyone knew the reason if says they do not have the service on a Wednesday? Is it just too far in advance or does the ferry not run at the end of January?

    Thank you!

I am planning a trip with 15 people. We were planning to sail ft. Lauderdale-Freeport. We were inquiring if once we are there there is some sort of connection from Freeport to Bimini via ferry. We are planning for march 26th(Lauderdale-Freeport)’ and the 28th(Freeport-Bimini)

This is certainly good news! I hope you’ll be around next year. I’ve been trying to figure out how to get my hubby down to the Bahamas with as little air/sea time as possible. Driving from VA to Ft. Lauderdale and then ferrying over sounds like the perfect way to go! :)

I’m going to look for you on Twitter and Facebook.

      Hi Julio,

We hope that you have made your travel arrangements with the ferry service to travel from Ft. Lauderdale to Freeport next month. Please let us know if you are in need of a hotel room during your stay. There has been some confusion surrounding our post to update that ferry service was once again running, so just wanted to make everyone aware that we are unable to assist with ferry bookings. If you should need a hotel room at the resort, or slip at the marina, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you. Please let us know how you like the ferry service from Ft. Lauderdale. Have a terrific weekend and we look forward to seeing you in Freeport!
