Grand Bahama Offshore Fishing Forecast
West End has had plenty of weather this last 30 days; but when the fishable days came, the fish cooperated. The wahoo bite is consistent and has been hinging on the falling barometer. High speed trolling has been effective at 14 knots and the colors have been purple and black for the last two weeks. The bigger boats have been doing better because they get more fishing days, but those that put the time in have been rewarded. The dolphin bite has been great and some of the largest bulls and cows of the season have been hitting the West End docks. Both the Wood Cay area and the area six miles east of Old Bahama Bay have been producing. On a north wind, the area has been protected from the strong winds. Now that we are officially in spring weather patterns, the offshore scene will be fantastic.
